There's plenty of opportunity for birdwatching and wildlife viewing. It's hard to come here in the early morning and not see deer. There's also usually turkeys and other native wildlife.

Another great birdwatching and easy hiking spot in Citrus County. Parking is easy, the trailhead has lots of information. The trail itself is maintained decently. There are some places where the benches need refurbishment and the trail might be too wet. But the trail itself goes through quite a few diverse ecosystems. Hence the name, Eco-Walk.

Nice easy walk. Have been there several times and have seen armadillo, small tortoise, osprey, many kinds of birds and today there was a 6-7 foot alligator at the turtle pond. Use insect repellant for mosquitoes and flies.

Enjoyed hiking here with our dogs. Nice easy to walk trail. Plenty of birds and a variety of plants.

Free parking. When you're at Tallahassee, turn down the gravel road between the brown fences and drive down for a hundred yards and park on the right. There spots for 6-8 cars depending how close together the cars park. The 2 mile hike is nice but there are often quite a few mosquitoes. If you're lucky you may come across an armadillo. All flat hike.

Great trail and just perfect length for us, approx. 2 miles. Easy to find and navigate. Interesting fun fact information on plaques and such along the way. As far as animals we had seen only birds. But it was very clear that hogs also love the area do to all the rooting along the trail. Although we hike this trail, we bike also but would not recommend biking this trail.
