I have been to Citrus Ortho 3 times, once with Dr. Toumbis & twice with Dr. Steve Kaufman. Each time I was processed through the system very efficiently & ON time! These guys know what they are doing and do it very well. Today's visit with Kaufman was a complete and well described examination of my right foot for chronic pain in the heel. While we haven't fixed the problem yet we are gathering data to rule in/out certain causes. And if need be I can get a cortisone shot before we go on vacation and that should keep me comfortable. Appointment at 1030 & I was seen at 1032. How many office can claim that?

Dr Toumbis fixed my spine. In 1993 a neuro in Miami performed a discectomy/laminectomy on my spine without hardware. By 2007 my spine had collapsed and was pointing to the left. The pain was terrible and I was walking like a crab stepping ruptured duck. Dr Toumbis did a PLIF L2 thru S1. Dr Toumbis fixed my spine using 10 screws, 2 rods and cages. I am 71 years old now and my spine is one of my best functioning body parts.
Dr Toumbis was a Dr at Shands in Jacksonville when I was air lifted there in 2001. I spent over a month there. I almost lost my foot. Dr T was able to repair my ankle ( as much as it could be) He was wonderful to me. My family couldn't really be there as it was an hour away from home. He checked on me and really seemed to care. Making sure I was getting the PT to try to walk again. I think he was a great Dr.
