After knowing Edward Johnston for a short time I developed an amazing sense of trust and reliance on his talents. He came highly recommended. I entrusted him with designing and building my new home off of Kings Bay Drive in Crystal River. Completed on time, at budget, and with far more quality and appointments than I had expected. I unequivocally recommend Edward Johnston. He is a man of integrity, honor and a highly respected builder.
Do not use this local contractor if you have any sense of community at all. This contractor's office is closed on Saturday and Sunday. If you park in his designated parking places when the office is closed he will have your vehicle towed! As a Citrus County resident and tax payer, I will never understand the negativity of such and individual. If he has so little consideration for local business, then I would never give him my business and I will tell every person I know in Citrus County how little he cares for our community. When I contacted Edward Johnston about having my vehicle towed, he hung up on me and told me he didn't care whether I might be a potential client or a Citrus County resident. Shame on you Edward Russell Johnston!!
I wish I could give Ted Johnston more than five stars as he exceeded all of my expectations before, during and after the construction of our home! As new comers to Crystal River, we didn't know anyone so we met with several different contractors before we went the Ted. We not only have a gorgeous home on the river, but have many new friends in the community that both Ted, and his wife Janet, have introduced us to! Being a active member in the Rotary, Ted was responsible for bringing my husband to the group and providing us with yet another avenue in which we too, could participate in the good works that take place in and around Citrus County. My husband and I consider The Johnston Family among our best friends! I highly recommend Edward Russell Johnston!
My wife and I interviewed several local contractors to build our new home before deciding on Edward Johnston. At the time we lived 1 1/2 hours away and would be unable to frequently visit the construction site to check on the progress. We needed someone we could trust and Edward was that person and even more. He kept in touch with us, gave updates, frequently checked the quality of work done by the sub-contractors. He made recommendations to improve our home as well as helping us make changes we requested. We did make a few trips to our build and spoke with several of the workers about Edward. Everyone let us know he held them accountable to a high standard of quality. Words such as “exacting” and “particular” were frequently used. Those comments made my wife and I very happy and only confirmed our choice of builders. Our home was finished on time and Edward was always there to patiently guide us during the process. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing the services of a contractor. I know we will use him again without any reservation.
Throughout the entire process from start to finish Ted was great. Great quality work, great follow up. He made the process very easy. Highly recommend!
